| M35 Waffen-SS Single Decal Field Repainted (Over SS Double Decal Issue) | ||

This scarce single decal M1935 reissued Waffen-SS helmet exhibits the standard characteristics of helmets repainted and reissued in the 1940 time frame. Only a handful of original examples in this configuration exist as has been stated before in leading books by advanced collectors. The helmet displays a repainted finish both inside and out and the paint color is one that appears to be more gray than green in color. The paint has a medium level of texture to reduce glare. The helmet has been decorated with the expected "first pattern" C.A. Pocher pattern decal which has been applied without a protective lacquer finish as would have been done in military depots. The helmet displays manufacturing marks indicating that it was once an early production helmet of the Thale factory sometime in the 1935-1939 time period. The helmet was originally produced as a double decal Waffen-SS helmet, but now exhibits the repainted finish and decal applied over the factory configuration. This means that under the field repaint exists a smooth finished double decal SS helmet. This is an ultra-rare helmet. It is difficult to find such M35 examples with very few in existence even in the most advanced of collections. Guaranteed 100% original and unaltered in any way. Price reflects current market values.
