Light Field-Gray Steel Buckles

Light field-gray painted buckles are yet another variation in painted hardware found on World War II German chinstraps.  This particular buckle is a bit wider than most with very round edges and smooth curvature.  The leather is brown on one side and black on another.  Tan colored thread was used to sew the buckle to the leather.
