This Luftwaffe M1935 helmet bears the single tan camouflage color of helmets used in the North African Theater of combat  The camouflage paint was applied by brush and appears almost pink in overall tone.  This is typical of paint finishes used by German Armed Forces (Wehrmacht) units from 1941-1943.  This particular helmet bears the markings of having originated in a flight headquarters unit located in Germany.  The decals have been neatly painted around leaving them exposed on both sides of the helmet.  The helmet's components are dated 1939.
