    Feuerwehr Photos

A member of the Feuerwehr wears an M1934 fire protection helmet with aluminum comb.  Of interest is the fact that this photo was taken prior to 1938.  This is evidenced by the lack of standard police eagle insignia on the right arm of the uniform tunic.  In 1938 all fire-fighting brigades were integrated into the Order Police (Ordungspolizei) under the new designation Fire Protection Police (Feuerwehrpolizei). The police eagle insignia was required on all fire-fighting uniforms following this reorganization.
