M1935 Army (Heer) Double Decal Combat Helmet

This superb condition, unissued M1935 Quist model helmet was found in an Austrian attic in 1999.  The helmet clearly illustrates how an unissued helmet might look straight from the factory.  The decals are factory applied with a thin layer of sprayed on varnish.  The liner is 1939 dated the leather depicts the size 58cm as indicated by the ink stamp.  This helmet bears no dome stamp.  The helmet is a shell size 66cm with the interior lot number of "662" indicating an early production run example.  Helmets in this sort of condition are not often encountered by today's collector.
