This M1940 single decal Naval helmet is in unissued condition.  The helmet was acquired from a World War II Canadian veteran through an estate sale offering by an antique dealer.  The helmet features a nearly perfect single decal gold Kriegsmarine decal.  A fine patina rests across the painted surfaces from long time storage.  The chinstrap and liner are in perfect condition and show no signs of wear.  The color of the helmet is the standard "field green" applied to both Army and Naval helmets.  There is practically no texture to the helmet which appears smooth to the touch.
