This excellent example of the standard "two-piece" Gladiator helmet is configured in the typical fashion for the Air Protection Warning Service (Luftschutzwarndeinst or Luftschutz).  Helmets such as these were available to civilian volunteers who served in the air raid warning service.  This helmet has a medium blue painted finish with a silver decal denoting the Luftschutz.
