The helmet shown below represents one of only four known original examples of the rare NSDAP helmet.  These helmets are believed to have been worn by guard and security units of the NSDAP assigned to the district of Saxony.  All original helmets possess a decal indicating that the helmet was the property of the district of Saxony, Germany.  Each helmet bears NSDAP brown paint applied on top of the regular Luftschutz color.  These helmets are believed to have been produced in 1944 based on components and helmet configuration and model.  At present, additional information is unavailable.
