Insignia Description

Helmet insignia worn by the SA Field Police (SA-Feldjägerkorps) utilized the star burst insignia of the Prussian Police in combination with a tilted or "mobile" swastika. The swastika insignia was typically hand painted with stencils, although some helmets also bore decals fashioned in this design. The star burst insignia of the Prussian Police was generally a decal, although pressed metal insignias of the same design are known to exist. The metals shields were constructed of hollow stamped brass with a silver painted wash. Some unusual variants have also been observed were the swastika is also a pressed metal version of similar manufacture.
