SA-Stabswache Göring Helmets

Helmet Description

Only a handful of original photographs exist illustrating the SA-Stabs-wache Göring Helmet in use. Of the photos evaluated it is clear that members of the SA-Stabswache Göring utlized World War I model Austrian and German combat helmets. These helmets were typically hand painted brown with two insignia. The insignia was generally stenciled onto the sides of the helmet as decals were not yet widely available. Insignia consisted of the standard SA circular runic insignia on the right side of the helmet, with a titled Prussian shield (black and white) on the left. No other insignia combination has been verified other than that which is noted.
