SA-Stabswache Göring Insignia

Insignia Description

The insignia worn on the helmets of members of the SA-Stabswache Göring were generally painted onto the sides of the helmets. During these early years few decals had yet come into full production. While it is possible that some decal versions do in fact exist, most authenticated originals have insignia that is neatly stenciled onto the sides of the helmets. The Prussian shield was worn on the left side of the helmet to denote the fact that Hermann Göring was serving as the Prussian Minister-President at the time.
