    Schutzpolizei Civilian Model Helmet Photos

This aluminum commercially produced Schutzpolizei helmet is common to those issued and worn by members of the Deutsche Polizei and Feuerwehren between 23 April 1934 and 10 July 1934.  The helmet bears the large mobile swastika and tilted National shield with the colors of Nazi Germany.  Helmets of this type generally included a horse hair filled top pad in the crown to add protection for the wearer.  Helmets were factory painted a smooth satin black inside and out.  Most helmets of this configuration bore no maker marks in the shell.
