Trading Helmets to Buy Down the Cost of a Restoration

Got my old 1916 Stalhelm that you restored the other day and it looks great!  I don't think that it has looked this good in 86 years!  The 1918 stormtrooper camo is as good as any I've ever seen in a museum.  You are an artist my friend!  Thank you so very much for restoring an family heirloom.

We no longer accept trade-in helmet shells as part of the cost to "upgrade" to a larger helmet shell.  Unfortunately, most people want to trade small helmets for large helmets of much higher cost.  We no longer stock helmet shells for trade-in's.  However, if you are interested in getting a helmet refurbished and want to trade a helmet in to buy down the cost of a restoration of another helmet, then we are happy to accommodate your trade!

Stahlhelm-Werke will not accept the following items for trade:

• Spanish helmets

• Postwar West German BGS helmets or related parts

• Helmets sized 60cm or 62cm

• Relic helmets or rusted helmets of less value

• Small helmets for an upgrade to a 66cm or 68cm helmet shell
